Dichroic Maze

With NE1 for Summer in the City Installation on Newcastle Quayside

We were commissioned by NE1 to design, fabricate and install an immersive experience along Newcastle Quayside. Purpose moulded polycarbonate panels were laminated with dichroic film and surrounded by concrete seating blocks. The Dichroic Maze Field was part of our installation at Newcastle Quayside for summer 2021 and was designed and built in our Ouseburn studio.

Throughout the day the shadows change and evolve depending on the perspective of the viewer and the intensity of sunlight, offering a unique encounter upon each visit.
