Flint

Commissioned by Norfolk County Council, Flint is a collection of mirrored totems designed by ToyStudio and the first of five installations part of the Norfolk Way Art Trail.

The installation is influenced by the historical town of Norwich and aims to highlight this through the illustrations and patterning created by local community groups by local illustrator @ellenharlingillustration.

The name of the project references the flint walls of the church on the site, made from folded aluminium forms, Flint’s inner shell is clad with mirrored panels that reflect the beautiful surroundings. Lighting tubes illuminate the forms at night to transform the pieces into a seemingly endless infinity mirror.
