Here we produced a bar top and table tops based around a novel technique.
We took ash for it's property of highly contrasting grain density. This is due to the tree growing much faster in Summer than it does in Winter. The Summer wood is therefore much less dense.
Then we shot-blasted the panels to remove the soft grain, then poured custom dyed resin over the panels.
Once they were sanded back the resulting effect is that half of the grain is replaced with coloured plastic.
We also produced the Wall Of Death fairground sign which is 2 layers of 30mm birch ply bonded and CNC cut, with digital print to the face.
